Christian Hunt

Author, Founder of Human Risk, and host of Human Risk podcast

Christian is the founder of Human Risk, a Behavioural Science led Consulting and Training Firm, specialising in the fields of Ethics & Compliance. He was formerly MD at UBS where he was Head of Behavioural Science. Christian joined the Firm in Compliance & Operational Risk Control, leading the function globally for UBS Asset Management. Prior to joining UBS, he was COO of the UK Prudential Regulation Authority, a subsidiary of the Bank of England responsible for regulating financial services.

Christian speaks and writes regularly about Behavioural Science and human risk. He also hosts and produces the Human Risk podcast.

Shomari Lewis-Wilson

Senior Manager, Research & Communities, Wellcome Trust, and founder of the New Fables Collective

As Senior Manager of the Research Culture & Communities team at the Wellcome Trust, Shomari is utilising strategic design, systems theory and change tools to create programmes that make research careers more inclusive and accessible. His experience spans over five years in the research funding sector.

He was a founding member and Chair of the Wellcome Race Equity Network (WREN). Through networking, community engagement and storytelling, he has established operations and changed behaviours with narratives on Afrofuturism, Antiracism and Joy. More recently, he co-founded the New Fables Collective.

Anne-Marie Lister

Chief People Officer, Atom bank

Anne-Marie was one of the first few into the early Atom team, and for the last 8 years she has been responsible for building and scaling people systems, processes, the working environment, and culture of the award-winning team that launched the UK’s first app only bank.  She has 20 years’ experience across people disciplines including Organisation Development, Learning and Development, Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, and Internal Communications, working in the UK, Asia Pacific, Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and the Caribbean on a range of People and OD initiatives.

Kaye Elliott

Director of High-end Television, ScreenSkills

Kaye is responsible for setting the strategy and overseeing all aspects of ScreenSkills’ HETV industry-led investments and delivering skills support for UK freelancers at every stage of their TV careers. The High-end TV Fund delivers best in class support for crew and talent working in television to sustain and grow the UK workforce.  Currently delivering over £10million of industry investment working in partnership with every UK Broadcaster and streaming company making TV content in the UK. Previously Kaye was Deputy Director of Partnerships and Head of Production Services at Creative England where she was responsible for developing partnerships with national and international industry, as well as overseeing the delivery of services to film and TV production filming in the English regions for UK and international clients.

Malcolm Taylor

Senior People Development Manager, The Met Office

As an experienced and energetic People professional, Malcolm brings over 25 years’ worth of knowledge challenging HR and L&D approaches through progressive and impactful People strategies. Having worked as a fulltime Trade Union rep for 10 years, he has acquired a perspective which has helped him empathise with staff and client experiences on a human level and use this perspective to drive innovative approaches.

Elizabeth Dunn

Head of Business Change, River Island

An experienced leader of transformational change in organisations, Elizabeth is passionate about delivering change brilliantly; from working with Senior Leaders to define business strategy, translating strategic goals into tangible portfolios of change, to ensuring businesses are properly setup to deliver change at pace with maximum people engagement, adoption and return on investment.

Elizabeth has a wealth of experience leading all types of large scale change, from organisation design, operating models and culture shifts, to process, ways of working and complex technology implementations. Most recently, she has been working with fashion retailer River Island to set up a ‘Business Change’ centre of expertise and is accountable for defining and maturing the end-to-end Change Management approach and framework across the business; whilst leading a team of change experts to ensure all change programmes, projects and initiatives are delivered, adopted and embedded successfully.

Tom Verity

Regional Director South West at Oasis Community Learning

Tom has extensive experience of leading schools as a Headteacher, Executive leader and international Principal.  He has worked in primary education since 1997, teaching in a variety of schools in Lincolnshire before becoming a Headteacher in 2004.  Tom is currently the Oasis Community Learning Regional Director for South West Primaries, working with Principals in and around Bristol, having taken up the role in 2020.  As Regional Director, he provides strategic leadership to seven academies and a range of education services from nursery to secondary.

His previous roles include Principal of Alice Smith School, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (2016-2020); Executive Headteacher and National Leader of Education in South Lincolnshire (2009-2016); Headteacher of Rauceby Primary School (2004-2009).

Katryn Wright

Behavioural Science Lead, MoreThanNow & Advisor, Better Business Behaviour

Katryn is a behavioural scientist focused on advancing the behaviours within organisations that enable responsible business practices. She is Behavioural Science Lead at MoreThanNow where she runs large-scale randomised control trials to address organisational challenges across diversity and inclusion, wellbeing and ethics. She also supports companies to identify what behaviours need to change and diagnose how to enable them through her work with Better Business Behaviour. She spent 10+ years working in the responsible business and human rights field and has an MSc in Behaviour Change from UCL.  

Hannah Williams

Hannah is an illustrator with a talent for capturing and explaining complex and technical messages. She captures a visual record of ideas spontaneous at live events, with characterful and vibrant illustration. Hannah shows how artwork can be used to visualise stories, engage people, or energise important information.

Heather, Joe and Ali

Open Your Mouth and Sing

Heather Urquhart and Joe Samuel have been teaching, performing and experimenting with musical improvisation together for over 15 years. They called themselves ‘Open your mouth and sing’ because they love to facilitate people’s natural ability to be creative through the spontaneous creation of songs, stories and music.

Their work with people from all over the world has shown that musical improv training has huge and far reaching benefits for people in business.  Exploring your comfort zones, working with a team, facing a challenge and having a laugh and a sing along the way. 

They are joined by Ali James, a talented singer and improviser who rocked our room last year!
