Ed joined Acteon, then called Information Transfer, in 2001, to develop the Seminar authoring tool, before transferring to work on our learning management system, Breeio, as part of the Digital Team.
Ed enjoys the challenge of working the full-stack from database to browser-based front-end, via server-code, using the appropriate tools. There are times he looks back to assembler and binary object code nostalgically, and then reality returns. As part of the digital team’s support group, Ed provides second line support where required. Despite, or perhaps because of, the technology focused job, Ed finds that person-to-person communication is often the key to resolving an issue.
When not at work Ed rides motorcycles, preferring two wheels for commuting into Cambridge, flies vintage aeroplanes, and spends time with his family, and their three dogs, rabbits, chickens and many other animals.
